Coal Rank Kit | The Kentucky Coal Association, on behalf of the Kentucky Coal Council, has promoted awareness of the Coal Education Web Site through demonstrations at key educational conferences. A schedule of conferences attended follows. Brief conference descriptions with photos can be viewed below. Where we were in 1997-1998:
1997 Joint Annual Conference of the The Kentucky Library Association's Library Awareness Committee developed a theme for this year's conference that addresses issues related to the information superhighway. This theme is in keeping with the American Library Association's Goal 2000 advocacy campaign on building support for the role of public, school, and university libraries in ensuring Internet information access to all. 1997 Joint Annual Conference of the The KSTA and the KCTM are organizations dedicated to the teaching of science and mathematics at all levels (elementary through college). The Kentucky Coal Marketing and Export Council through the Kentucky Coal Association teamed with the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME)'s educational division (GEM), the Kentucky Geological Survey, the University of Kentucky's Mining Engineering Department and Center for Applied Energy Research to present resources and opportunities in coal education available to Commonwealth educators.
